2006
"Where it all began!" Turners of Brighouse, England, becomes a boys formal wear high street store. Run by my mum, Gail, and assisted by parents, Doris and Malcolm, and son, Matthew (me). All customers greeted with a smile, and above and beyond customer service.

2009
I traveled to America to visit US Air Force friend Heather, got married, and became permanent US resident (to the horror of mum!)

2009 – 2014
Myself and Heather PCS from Nevada, to Florida, to Maryland, and back to Florida.

2013
Heart-breakingly, Malcolm (probably the kindest man in the world, but definitely the best cup of tea maker, ever!) passes away in April 2013. It was just a few days before the Boston Marathon bombing, and a day before my mum visits us in Maryland. She breaks the heartbreaking news upon arrival. I never had chance to say goodbye. Please talk to your loved ones, you never know when the chance will be gone.

2014
Heather and I complete our final move to Jacksonville, FL. Finally time to settle down.

2016
I wanted to do something in honor of my Grandad. So I started a very small boys suit company to capture your hearts in America (just as Malcolm would have done). Its name becomes Malcolm Royce, in honor of grandfather (Malcolm), and father (Royce, alive and kicking).

2019
Sadly, 2019 starts off with a breast cancer diagnosis for Heather, and chemotherapy treatment quickly starts. The 20th and final chemotherapy session is taking place August 2020. It's been a long journey.

2020 and beyond
With the help and trust of you, its customers, Malcolm Royce will continue to grow. We have added more suits, baptism outfits, and flower girl dresses, and will continue to add more items week by week. I pride myself on excellent customer service and want every visitor to leave elated and happy that you chose Malcolm Royce to help you for your special day.

I recently opened a store on San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville FL, but Covid-19 is really hurting my chances of making it work. We hope to still be around once it all passes, but I need your help to do so. We have closed the shop for the time being, but plan on reopening in August sometime.

Please contact me with any questions you may have.

Best Wishes

Matthew
