Boys Communion

What should a boy wear for First Communion?

For a boy's First Communion, he typically wears a formal outfit that includes a white button-up shirt, a tie, a suit jacket and trousers, and dress shoes. The outfit should be conservative and appropriate for the church setting.

The traditional First Communion suit is usually white, although it can come in other light pastel colors, like tan, beige, and grey. It usually consists of a button-up dress shirt, a tie, dress pants and a jacket or a vest. The shoes should be dress shoes, usually black, brown or white, to match the suit.

It's also important to check with the specific church or school where the ceremony will be held, as some may have specific guidelines or traditions regarding the attire. Black and Navy suits are widely accepted now, but some might still recommend a traditional First Communion suit or a specific type of suit.

It's important that the clothes are comfortable, clean and well-fitting, the boy should look and feel his best on this special day.
